In November of 2011 - The Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company, Limited (“DLI”) and China Huadian Corporation (“Huadian”) have acquired a permit for pre-operation of a joint venture life insurance company in China from China Insurance Regulatory Commission.

Ho Chi Minh City, October 26th 2011 - In the first nine months of 2011, Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company of Vietnam Ltd. ("Dai-ichi Life Vietnam") continued to experience strong sales growth as new annualized business premiums reached over VND 335.5 billion, an increase of 47% against the same period of 2010. Total premiums and investment reached over VND 798 billion, an increase of 23% over the same period last year, in which the investment income reached over VND 281 billion, an increase of 34% compared to the same period last year; total claims paying out to customers amounting to VND 332 billion, an increase of 48% over the same period last year.

Dai-ichi Life sponsors eye operations

(Saigon Times Daily - March 11, 2009) - The sight-impaired patients received free treatment and operations on Tuesday at the hospital under the program “Bring Sight to the Poor Blind” which is a charity program supported by the HCMC Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients and the Dai-ichi Mutual Life Insurance Company and runs until June. Dai-ichi Life will sponsor 500 eye operations in HCMC and some other provinces for people blinded by cataracts at a total cost of VND350 million
