Dai-ichi Life Vietnam opens a new General Agency office in Can Tho and grants scholarships to local students

With continuous strategy in developing the company’s business network and customer base in key markets, on June 19th, 2016, Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company of Vietnam, Limited ("Dai-ichi Life Vietnam"), in collaboration with An Gia Hung Thinh Company, Limited, officially inaugurated the new General Agency office at 153–155 Cach Mang Thang Tam Street, An Hoa Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City. This is the first general agency of Dai-ichi Life Vietnam in Can Tho, and also the 131st in the company’s general agency network, contributing to the total number of 178 offices and general agencies currently in operation nationwide. By this occasion, 20 scholarships worth VND 10 million sponsored by Dai-ichi Life Vietnam were granted to needy local students.  

Mr. Tran Dinh Quan, General Director of Dai-ichi Life Vietnam, said: “As the central city of Mekong Delta, Can Tho possesses many ideal geographical and socio-economic conditions to enhance its business activities, from which the rapidly improved living standard favors the development of life insurance in the locality. Apart from a representative office of Dai-ichi Life Vietnam in Can Tho, the inauguration of the new GA     has showcased our attempts in expanding our business networks so as to provide our customers with exceptional long-term financial security through the company’s staff of professional financial consultants.”

On May 9th, 2016, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam has officially been approved by the Ministry of Finance to increase chartered capital to US$ 100 million (approx. VND 1,767 billion), marking an important milestone in the journey to reach the goal of becoming the leading provider of life insurance products and services in Vietnam only after 9 years of establishment. With a chartered capital of US$ 100 million, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam will be among the top life insurance companies in term of capitalization in Vietnam market.
