Dai-ichi Life Vietnam speeds up the expansion of business network in Quang Ninh


On May 28th, 2016, Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company of Vietnam, Limited ("Dai-ichi Life Vietnam") collaborated with Dai Chien Thang MC Company, Limited, to officially inaugurate a new General Agency office at Zone 7, Hai Yen Ward, Mong Cai City, Quang Ninh Province. As part of the company’s strategy to accelerate the distribution network of Japanese-quality life insurance products and services to the increasingly large local customer base, this is the 3rd general agency of Dai-ichi Life Vietnam in Quang Ninh and the 130th in the company’s system of offices and general agencies currently in operation throughout the country. Also, 20 scholarships valued at VND 10 million sponsored by Dai-ichi Life Vietnam were awarded to local students on this occasion.


As one of the commercial and tourism centers of Quang Ninh province, Mong Cai enjoys advantageous location to develop transportation and trading activities, together with well-invested infrastructures and trade center system to create an economically vibrant city at the border. Accordingly, the highly growing socio-economic rate has been a favourable basis for the expansion of life insurance network in this dominant market.

Delivering a speech at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Dinh Quan, General Director of Dai-ichi Life Vietnam, stressed: “Following efficient business operations of the 2 GAs in Dong Trieu district and Ha Long city, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam continues to launch a new general agency in Mong Cai city with a view to enhancing the quality of service to meet the increasing need of local customers for long-term financial security and investment. The opening of the 3rd general agency in Quang Ninh has shown ceaseless efforts of Dai-ichi Life Vietnam in bringing a sustainable future for our Vietnamese customers.”

With 20 scholarships awarded today, we hope to bring more motivation for needy students to overcome hardships and have a better education”, Mr. Quan added. 

Following the stage 1 – increasing capital to US$ 87 million (over VND 1,477 billion) in January 2016, on May 9th, 2016, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam has officially received the Amended license from the Ministry of Finance, approving the second increase of chartered capital – stage 2 – to a total of US$ 100 million (over VND 1,767 billion), making Dai-ichi Life Vietnam among the top life insurance companies in terms of capitalization in Vietnam market, and marking an important milestone in the journey to reach the goal of becoming the leading provider of life insurance products and services in Vietnam after only 9 years doing business.
