Dai-ichi Life Vietnam speeds up to expand the business network in Ho Chi Minh City

On April 8th, 2016, continuing its strategy to speed up the expansion of distribution network of life insurance products and services in order to meet highly increasing financial need in preeminent markets, Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company of Vietnam (“Dai-ichi Life Vietnam”) co-operated with G.A Hoang Long Phat Company, Limited, to launch the new General Agency office at 49B Hung Vuong Street, Ward 4, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City. This is the second general agency in District 5, the 18th in HCMC, and the 129th in the company’s system of general agencies nationwide, amounting to a total number of 175 offices of Dai-ichi Life Vietnam in operation at the present. On this occasion, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam granted 20 scholarships worth VND 10 million to local hard-working students.

 

Mr. Tran Dinh Quan, General Director of Dai-ichi Life Vietnam, said at the opening ceremony: “Following the efficient business operation of the general agencies in District 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, Go Vap, Binh Thanh, Tan Binh, Tan Phu, and Thu Duc, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam continues to inaugurate the second general agency in District 5 to develop the local customer base and simultaneously enhance the impeccable quality of life insurance services. As one of the trade hubs of Ho Chi Minh City, District 5 enjoys speedy economic growth and improved living standard, which creates a favorable basis for the development of life insurance activities in the locality. The launching of the second general agency in District 5 once again affirms Dai-ichi Life Vietnam’s efforts to strengthen customer services, as well as the company’s commitment to be a life-time partner of Vietnamese people.”

With 20 scholarships awarded today, we hope to bring more joy and motivation for struggling students to overcome hardships and have a better education”, Mr. Quan underlined. 

 On January 18th, 2016, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam has officially received the Amended license from the Ministry of Finance, approving the increase of chartered capital from US$ 72 million (VND 1,141 billion) up to US$ 87 million (more than VND 1,477 billion). Following stage 1 – increasing capital to US$ 87 million, which has been approved by the Ministry of Finance, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam is progressively preparing stage 2 of the capital increasing to a total of US$ 100 million in Q2/2016. This is the second time after nine years of operation Dai-ichi Life Vietnam increases its chartered capital to promote business expansion and investment, marking an important milestone in the journey to reach the goal of becoming the leading provider of life insurance products and services in Vietnam. With a chartered capital of US$ 100 million, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam will be among the top life insurance companies in terms of capitalization in Vietnam market.
