Dai-ichi Life Vietnam spurs the expansion of its business network in Ho Chi Minh City

In its strategy to speed up the widespread coverage of life insurance services to meet increasing needs for financial protection in key markets, on June 22nd, 2016, Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company of Vietnam, Limited ("Dai-ichi Life Vietnam") tied up with Minh An Hung Thinh Company, Limited to officially open the new General Agency office at 554A Le Quang Dinh Street, Ward 1, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City. This is the third office in Go Vap, and the 132nd in the company’s system of general agencies, amounting to 179 general agencies and offices currently in operation throughout the country. On this occasion, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam granted 20 scholarships worth VND 10 million to needy students in the district.

 

Mr. Tran Dinh Quan, General Director of Dai-ichi Life Vietnam, said: “As the national economic hub with the largest population and urbanization rate, HCMC is considered one of the company’s dominant markets, with 19 highly efficient general agency offices in District  6, 8, 10, 11, 12, Go Vap, Tan Binh, Tan Phu, Binh Thanh,  and Thu Duc. The inauguration of the third general agency in Go Vap once again affirms the solid commitment of Dai-ichi Life Vietnam in sparing no efforts to ensure a happy life and a sustainable future for local customers, as well as contributing to developing the financial market in HCMC”.

Aside from focusing on developing the business network in HCMC, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam has also accelerated to extend the office network in other potential markets across Vietnam. Specifically in the first half of 2016, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam has put into operation 12 transaction offices and general agencies in HCMC, Ha Noi, and the provinces of Ninh Thuan, Pleiku, Ha Tinh, Khanh Hoa, Quang Ninh, Tra Vinh, Can Tho and Phu Tho.

On May 9th, 2016, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam has officially been approved by the Ministry of Finance to increase chartered capital to US$ 100 million (approx. VND 1,767 billion), and has been among the top life insurance companies in term of capitalization in Vietnam market, marking an important milestone in the journey to reach the goal of becoming the leading provider of life insurance products and services in Vietnam only after 9 years of establishment.
